We like to drive down to the Carson Great Basin for the cozy atmosphere and the great service. Host/manager was super friendly and allowed us our choice of tables. Servers are attentivebut not intrusive. We started with the Fried Zucchini app which was delicious. Was expecting zucchini slices, and was pleasantly surprised with the quarter spears. Crispy coating and a dusting of cheese, ranch dipping sauce. Yum! We followed with Fish and Chips - also delicious. Same beer batter coating. Super crisp. Moist thick pieces of cod. Appreciate the choice of 2 or 3 pieces, especially at lunch. Cole slaw was a huge miss and tasted old/off. Fries are great. Love the Cervesa Chilibeso and wish other breweries would feature spicy beer flavors. Great lunch in a great atmosphere on a snowy blown day.

We stopped in last week after an appointment in Carson and it happened to be Happy Hour! We had been in once before for an event but this was our first time coming in for dinner. A nice large dining room that extends around back, very comfortable and although busy they got us right in. We ordered quickly and sat back, enjoyed the basket ball game on the TV and waited for our meal. Started with some wings and willie dillies which were both fried to perfection and came out HOT and STEAMING! Fried pickles are a weakness of mine. I had a Mystic Voyage and my husband had their Chilibeso which were both winners! My stepson had his favorite, French Dip. He is on the search for the best one ever and this one ranked high! My husband and I also shared their Pit Masters Platter which consisted of a feast of BBQ delights that were all remarkable. I think this time my favorite was the pork belly! We all left stuffed and happy and had a wonderful time!

Love this place! We often get the same server (will have to ask him his name) and he's always nice and efficient. Love the atmosphere, options for outside dining. They make great drinks, but most importantly, food is amazing. We had the Cajun Salmon Salad, and Salmon bowl. Both 5 stars! Won't ever get tired of eating here.

So I have already done a review of this place. Since that last visit I have wanted to get back and enjoy some more of this excellent food and brew. I can't say enough how much I love this restaurant/ brewery. It is located right on a corner in gorgeous downtown Carson City. When you walk in there is usually someone there to greet you and get you seated. Which was the case yesterday. But before we sat down I made sure to grab a Tshirt to take home. I have to say this staff has been amazing. I've been here twice and the service is top notch! It has such a great vibe and it's so clean. Even the restrooms are clean. Our first visit we sat in the back part of the restaurant. But this time we sat near the pizza oven. It was a great seat. It was in the middle of the room. But that was fine. Our server was a wonderful young lady named Brenda. Very attentive and friendly. She got us our drink orders. Which was water for my wife and a glass of their Chilibeso Cerveza. You have got to try this if you have never had it. It's excellent! We gave the menu a good look over and my wife chose the Great Basin burger with sweet potato fries and I chose the jalapeño cheddar sausage sandwich with sweet potato fries. I also ordered a couple of pieces of the pork belly for a small appetizer. Holy cow! You have to have the pork belly. Absolutely delicious! They have a pork belly Mac and cheese that I plan to try someday. Lawd have mercy. It sounds amazing. As we were waiting for our food I couldn't help but notice how the staff stayed on top of things. Even if it wasn't their primary station. They cleared tables and asked if everything was ok and so forth. I was very impressed. Our food arrived and looked great. Everything about it was excellent. From my wife's burger to my sausage sandwich! The sweet potato fries were perfect and just the right amount of food too. My only regret was I should have ordered a larger size cerveza. Hey I can always order another right? In closing I have to give Great Basin Brewing kudos for a great staff and menu. As well as amazing food and brew! This is going to be a go to spot for us.

Last week, on Monday, February 10, 2025, my wife and I visited this place, and we had a great experience. The salmon bowl and ahi burger were both amazing--fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The real highlight, though, was our server. You could tell he truly enjoys people and his job, which made our visit even more enjoyable. Props to him for providing such great service! We're looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu. Highly recommend!

We love the Great Basin Brewery in both Victorian Square (Reno) and the Carson City location! Beer selection and full bar provide plenty of drink choices. The menu is seasonal and local purveyors provide great ingredients. Our server, Andrew was great! Very helpful and professional. So whether you are in Reno or Carson City, I highly recommend grabbing a beer and a bite at Great Basin Brewery!!!

We love eating at the Great Basin in Reno so we figured we'd try out the one in Carson. It did not disappoint! I had the hot chicken sandwich with garlic fries which was awesome! My wife had the BTLA which she enjoyed as well. The restaurant is pretty cool inside and out which always makes for a nice time. The only reason I gave a 4 star review is because our waitress wasn't very nice. Not sure if she just wasn't having a good day or something but we still enjoyed ourselves!

Great service and ambiance. If you like beer, this is the place to be. The burger was very good! Perfectly cooked and paired with very crispy fries. We also tried the Cobb salad but the chicken was just a little too crispy and tough, overcooked. The pizza also looked really good and I will definitely try that next time. I plan to go back again for a burger, pizza, and beer.

Perfect for a quick Happy Hour stop. In addition to Happy Hour specials (3-6), GB offers a weekday specials as well. Beer is locally brewed with creativity to offer a high quality brew for everyone. Enjoyed a cold refreshing Cantaloupe Wit on this stop. Paired with smoked wings and it was a winner! Thanks Brenda for the great service and indulging me in a few samples before picking my brew. This is a big venue with lots of TVs covering all the major games. I love the partially covered patio too for a well-behaved best friend.
